She began as a high school art teacher and went on to earn five teaching degrees, including a master's degree and certification as areading specialist. In retirement, she remains active in the arts community, volunteering with the Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) and creating distinctive paper collages that reflect her lifelong passion for education and the arts.   Sue Flynn became a Personal Chef in 2002 after a 30-year career in retail. A member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), she earned her certification in 2005. Her lifelong interest in teaching found expression at Atlantic Center for the Arts, where she has led culinary programs including "Food as Art" for middle school students, ACA's summer art camp, and most recently The Healing Arts for Homeschool Students program (2022–2025). Nadine Soldivieri is an accomplished performer and teacher with an extensive background in the performing arts. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and has dedicated her career to both performance and education, sharing her passion with students of all ages. Her training spans a wide range of disciplines, including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, gymnastics, acrobatics, voice, and theatre. Nadine has had the privilege of studying under many distinguished artists, among them George Tomal (ABT Co.), Carolyn Clark (ABT Co.), Joseph Carow (ABT Co.), Edward Villella (NYC Ballet Co.), Mia Michaels (So You Think You Can Dance), Savion Glover, Omar Edwards (Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk), Robert Fitch (Annie), Frank Hatchett, Germaine Salsburg, Phil Black, and Charles (Chuck) Kelley.

Sizzling Speakeasy Jazz and Jukebox BluesSybil Gage & Her Merry Band of Royal Catahoulas If you've never seen Sybil Gage in a jazz club "listening house" atmosphere this is a night not to be missed. Her New Orleans roots run deep with a turn through New York City before settling in Florida. Every Sybil Gage performance is unique, and her ability to entertain is 2nd to none. Sybil is a songwriter, singer and bandleader and appears with a classic jazz quintet featuring piano, bass, saxophone, and drums. Her song list spans the years, offering a mix of jazz and jazzy blues favorites, sprinkled with her originals. I always hear a few songs I might not have heard before but am happy I have heard now. Moonflower is a tribute to the music of Santana, performed by five musicians whose love for Santana and his music comes first. Moonflower features Mark Barrios on guitar and vocals, a long-time and well-respected guitarist in the Tampa Bay area. The Wine Walk is a monthly Progressive Wine Tasting event that takes place on Flagler Avenue, in New Smyrna Beach. Wine Walk tasting passports are $30 and include 20 tasting tickets along with a keepsake wine glass, map, and listing of each host locations wines for the month. Featuring six seasoned musicians with extensive stage and touring expertise, The Insiders are truly "running down the dream." Frontman Max Lockwood shares his deep connection to Tom Petty's music: "I grew up listening to Tom Petty. My mom would play the Greatest Hits record while she worked out, and I would sit at the top of the stairs soaking in those songs. It was my most requested CD as a child." During high school, Lockwood's band, Big Dudee Roo, began incorporating Petty's songs into their performances across Western Michigan. "To me, Tom Petty represented a significant part of the American musical landscape—a legend by the time I became aware of music. Our shows received enthusiastic responses to the Petty songs, and many noted how much I sounded like him." Lockwood's passion for Petty's music never wavered. After Petty's passing in October 2017, he assembled a group of talented musicians for a benefit concert. The event was a resounding success, raising thousands for a local domestic violence shelter and leading to the formation of THE INSIDERS. By focusing on sensory detail, memory, and interiority, we will write poems that defy the logic of search engines and data harvesting. This series is about cultivating a poetic voice that is uniquely your own, creating work that is not for an algorithm's consumption, but for human connection. Facilitators: Dr. Amy MichaelisDr. Amy Michaelis has been working in early childhood education since 2005 and is passionate about helping young children learn through play, curiosity, and everyday experiences. As a behavior analyst, educator, and co-founder of Upward Trend Academy, Amy has spent nearly two decades supporting children and families while helping caregivers feel confident in their child's development and early learning. She loves showing parents and grandparents simple, practical ways to build language, early literacy, and problem-solving skills using play and affordable materials at home. Amy believes some of the most powerful learning happens during shared moments. Lindsay StrausbaughLindsay Strausbaugh has been working with young children and families since 2009. She is passionate about creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that help children grow in confidence and curiosity. As the co-founder of Upward Trend Academy, Lindsay has helped build a supportive learning environment where children develop strong foundations in communication, social skills, and early academics. She enjoys working closely with families and believes that some of the best learning happens through simple activities, meaningful conversations, and everyday play.  

Workshop Description: What are the un-Googleable parts of ourselves? In this workshop, we will seek them out. By focusing on sensory detail, memory, and interiority, we will write poems that defy the logic of search engines and data harvesting. This series is about cultivating a poetic voice that is uniquely your own, creating work that is not for an algorithm's consumption, but for human connection. Recently serving for ten years as Florida's Poet Laureate for Volusia County, M.B. is a Poetry Reader for the literary journal SWWIM.  M.B. earned her graduate degree in Comparative Literature at Harvard University and teaches classical literature at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Join us for the opening reception of Taylor Robenalt: Peaks & Valleys, with a special gallery talk by the artist. Taylor Robenalt is an artist and educator whose practice is grounded in material exploration and craft. She earned her BFA from Southern Methodist University with a focus on bronze casting and stone carving, and later received her MFA in Ceramics from the University of Georgia. A full-time professor at Ringling College of Art and Design, Robenalt's work has taken her internationally through residencies at A.I.R. Vallauris in France, SkopArt in Greece, and Tokoname in Japan, as well as nationally at institutions including The Art Ovation Hotel, Odyssey ClayWorks (NC), and others. She has exhibited widely in both national and international venues, including Grovewood Gallery, Abmeyer + Wood Fine Art, River Gallery, Companion Gallery, and Vision West Contemporary. Her work and research have been recognized with numerous honors, including the NCECA International Residency Award, the Halo Fellowship Award, and multiple Ringling College Professional Development Grants. In addition to her studio practice, Robenalt has curated exhibitions for institutions such as Blue Spiral Gallery, Florida CraftArt, The Art Ovation Hotel, the Canton Museum of Art, Rocky River Gallery, and the Morean Clay Center.
